M. Jonathan Gouthro, CPA
Partner (1970-2012)

Our dear friend and firm partner Jonathan Gouthro died on May 8, 2012 from injuries in a hit and run accident. He is greatly missed by all of us.
Jonathan held a Masters Degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University and had over 15 years of diversified business experience prior to becoming a CPA. He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA) and served on the board of directors for several small-medium sized companies and non-profit organizations.
Jonathan served on the Board of Governors of the Florida Institute of CPAs, a 19,000 member organization. He was a Past-President of the local 800 member Atlantic Chapter for the Florida Institute of CPAs. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Pompano Beach and his civic activities include serving as President, Treasurer and Secretary of the Rotary Club of Grand Bahama Sunrise. He was a lifetime member of both the Bahamas National Trust and the Bahamas Air-Sea Rescue Association. He was a Paul Harris Fellow and had spent a large portion of his time serving the community through a variety of philanthropic and ecological organizations.
He was an avid boater and fisherman, Jonathan spent as much of his free time on the ocean as possible.
